Turkey Breasts in
Orange Juice and Yogurt Marinade

This is an excellent recipe for folks who crave that seasonal bird in it's naturally grilled state in summer or springtime.

  • 2 turkey breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Marinade;

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped into fine chunks
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chinese five spice
  • tablespoon honey

.
Season the turkey breasts with salt and pepper. Place both pieces into a glass bowl or a heavy duty ziploc bag.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a small container and pour over the turkey breasts. Rotate the turkey breasts if you chose to use the ziploc bag so the turkey breasts within are covered completely.

Marinate the turkey breasts for 1 to 2 days in the fridge.

Grill turkey breasts (turning once in the middle of the baking time) for approx. 45 minutes to one hour. Check to make sure that the meat is done to the bone using a meat thermometer. Medium is usually achieved at 150-160 degrees. A fork (when poked into the breast) should come out clean.

This is an excellent dish that goes well with a spicy side or fresh vegetable salad.
