English muffin pizzas make great appetizers. This recipe from Rose is quick and delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb. Rose Canadian Style Bacon, coarsely chopped
6 English muffins, halved
1 can (10 oz.) pizza sauce
1 package (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
OPTIONAL:
Chopped mushrooms, drained
Chopped green peppers
Chopped onions
Chopped anchovies
DIRECTIONS:
Toast English muffin halves very lightly to reduce moisture absorption. Lay muffin halves cut side up on ungreased cookie sheet. Spread 1 - 2 Tablespoons pizza sauce on each half. Top with 1 - 2 Tablespoons Rose Canadian Style Bacon and cheese. Add up to 1 heaping teaspoon of any of the optional ingredients.
Bake at 400 degrees F. for about 15 minutes until cheese is hot and bubbly.
