Smoked Oysters in The Shell
Fish and Seafood

Two dozen oysters in the shell with a great lemon and hot sauce drizzler will make the day or night!

  • Dozen or Two Dozen Oysters
  • 1 Teaspoon of Tabasco
    (or your favorite Hot Sauce)
  • 2 Sticks of Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of Fresh
    Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • Grated Lemon Peel from the
Lemons used to make the Juice
  • Seasoned Salt
  • Seasoned Pepper

Melt the butter in a skillet or sauce pan. Mix in the lemon juice, lemon peel, salt, pepper and lastly the hot sauce. Drizzle this sauce over the opened oysters as soon as they are ready.

Grab a bag of Oysters 12 or 24 and flip them onto a grill with the coals about medium. When the oysters start to open up add hickory or your favorite wood chips.

When all are open (toss out the ones that don't open, don't let the cats get 'em either). Drizzle them with the lemon butter hotsauce mixture. Serve immediately.
